Description: Slavin in Bratislava is located on a hill close to the center of Bratislava.
Slavin Bratislava is a monumental cemetery and memorial of Soviet Army soldiers who fell during World War II in April 1945. They fell during liberating the city from Nazi German troops.
Slavin was built between 1957 and 1960 and opened in 1960 on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the liberation of Bratislava.
Slavin Bratislava is a National Cultural Monument. Slavin is also a beautiful park.

The site includes :
A solemn staircase.
A cemetery with graves of 6845 Soviet soldiers.
The central solemn hall. There are various statues, inscriptions, and a symbolic sarcophagus made of white marble and a 39.5 m high tower with a statue of a Soviet soldier on its top.
